Jakob & Ben met on LinkedIn. Jakob was building wannarent - an app for renting and leasing rarely used items. Ben was building Bummel, a local marketplace for Austrian retailers.

2023 "Productbay" emerges from a concrete need: When the Austrian company Golfstarshop took over Golfoutletstores, it quickly became clear - a central product data management system was needed. The vision was big from the beginning: Long-term automation of everything that is too time-consuming manually with AI.
2025
After Jakob and Ben worked operationally at Golfoutletstores to gain even deeper insights into retail, they decided to exit in autumn 2025 to focus fully on Productbay.
